The 4460-12WT is a NEMA 12 enclosure, so it is built to keep out dust, falling dirt, and dripping non-corrosive liquids. It uses a seamless poured in-place gasket and a hinged cover clamped down with screw clamps. NEMA 12 is not a hosedown or outdoor rating, so for washdown duty or wet exterior locations you want a NEMA 4 or 4X trough instead.
