1) Can the B-Line 6672 GRT wiring trough be used outdoors?
The 6672 GRT is a NEMA 3R enclosure, so it is rated for outdoor use against falling rain, sleet and snow. It is not a watertight or washdown rating, so keep it off surfaces subject to hose-down or standing water. Construction is steel in ANSI 61 gray, and the unit is CSA Certified.

16 gauge is the standard body thickness for steel wireway in commercial and industrial work, and it is what the 6672 GRT uses. It supports its own span between mounting points and takes conduit connections without deforming. For corrosive or wet-location duty you would step to a stainless or non-metallic wireway instead.
