1) Does the Emtek 1355 multi point trim include the lock body, or do I need to order the mortise lock separately?
Trim only. The 1355 set gives you the plates and handles, and the multi point mortise lock box is a separate purchase. If you're replacing worn handles on a swinging patio door that already has a working multi point mortise lock in the stile, this is the right part. If the lock itself has failed, you need the lock box too.
2) What is the center-to-center spacing on the Emtek 1355 trim, and will it line up with my existing multi point lock?
Center-to-center is 4-1/8 inches, measured between the handle and the cylinder position, with the cylinder sitting above the handle. That spacing and the Door Configuration #3 layout are what have to match your existing multi point lock. Measure the two holes in your door stile before ordering: if yours isn't 4-1/8 inch CTC, a different Emtek door configuration is the one you want.
3) Is the Emtek 1355 dummy pair actually lockable, or is it inactive trim?
Dummy function, so no. There's no key cylinder and no latching action in the 1355 pair. It is the inactive leaf hardware for a swinging patio door pair, giving a matching handle to pull on the side that doesn't operate the lock. If you need the operating side, you want a keyed or active multi point trim rather than the dummy.
4) Does Emtek 1355 trim work on Andersen patio doors?
Andersen is the referenced door manufacturer for this trim. The fit is decided by the Door Configuration #3 hole pattern and the 4-1/8 inch center-to-center spacing, so confirm your Andersen door's multi point lock uses that configuration.
5) What do I have to specify when ordering Emtek 1355 multi point trim?
