1) Does the Emtek 1364 multi point trim include the lock body, or just the handles and plates?
Trim only. The Emtek 1364 set gives you the plates and handles; the multi point mortise lock box is not included. You need to source the multi point lock body separately (or already have one in the door) before this trim can be installed.
2) What does Door Configuration #3 mean on Emtek multi point trim, and which door leaf does the 1364 go on?
Configuration #3 is the semi-active leaf setup: the outside has a fixed, non-keyed handle and the inside has an operating handle that retracts the latching points. Use the 1364 on the inactive/semi-active door of a pair of swinging patio doors, not on the active door where you want key access from outside.
3) Will Emtek 1364 trim line up with my existing multi point lock handle holes?
The handle spacing is 4-1/8 inch center-to-center, with the cylinder position above the handle, on a 2 x 10 inch rectangular plate. Measure the existing handle-to-cylinder spacing on your multi point lock gearbox; if it is not 4-1/8 inch, this trim will not land on the existing prep. The 1364 itself is non-keyed, so no cylinder is used on this leaf.
4) Is this Emtek trim made for Andersen swinging patio doors?
Andersen is the referenced door manufacturer for this Emtek multi point trim. It is residential swinging patio door hardware, so confirm your Andersen unit uses a multi point gearbox with 4-1/8 inch handle center-to-center before ordering.
5) What do I have to specify when ordering the Emtek 1364 trim?
Four things: finish, lever style, handing, and door thickness. Finishes are Flat Black Bronze (FB), Medium Bronze (MB), and Tumbled White Bronze (TWB). Lever choices are Aurora, Bryce, Cimarron, Cody, Durango, Lariat, Mariposa, Montrose, Teton, and Yuma. Handing is right or left, and it is required. Door thickness is a free-text entry, so measure the leaf and give the actual figure.
6) Why does handing matter on a non-keyed multi point trim?
Handing is a required selection on the 1364 because the lever has to rotate the correct direction to drive the gearbox, and on a semi-active leaf the inside operating handle must throw with the door's swing. Order right hand or left hand to match the leaf, not the active door beside it.
7) My existing patio door levers droop. Does this Emtek trim fix that?
Each Emtek multi point lock trim now ships with a spring assist that returns the lever to neutral, which is what stops handles from sagging over time. That is built into the 1364 trim, no separate part to order.
8) Can I match this trim to the other Emtek hardware in the house?
The 1364 is part of Emtek's Sandcast Bronze collection, cast bronze plates and levers in a rectangular 2 x 10 inch plate. Any Sandcast Bronze lever can be ordered with it, so the patio door can be keyed visually to sandcast bronze levers and knobs elsewhere. The three finishes offered are Flat Black Bronze, Medium Bronze, and Tumbled White Bronze.
9) Can the Emtek 1364 be keyed or set up for a keypad?
No. The 1364 is a non-keyed, non-electronic trim, and although the family uses American cylinders mounted above the handle, this configuration has a fixed outside handle with no cylinder. For key access from outside on the active leaf, choose a keyed Emtek multi point trim configuration instead.
