1) Does the Emtek 14B1 come with the multi point lock, or is it just the handles and plates?
Trim only. The 14B1 set is the two plates, the handles, and the cylinder. The multi point mortise lock box is not included, so this is for a door that already has a working multipoint lock in it, or for a job where the lock body is being sourced from the door manufacturer separately. If your gearbox is failing, replacing this trim will not fix it.
2) How do I know Emtek Door Configuration #4 trim is the right one for my patio door?
Two numbers settle it. The 14B1 is built for Emtek door configuration #4 and its handle and cylinder hubs are 3-5/8 inches center to center, with a plate measuring 2 x 10 inches. Measure from the center of the existing handle spindle hole to the center of the key cylinder hole on your door. If that comes out at 3-5/8 inches with the cylinder sitting above the handle, configuration #4 is your trim. If the spacing is different, a different Emtek configuration matches the door, and the trim will not land on the existing prep.
3) Will Emtek 14B1 multipoint trim work on a Marvin, JELD-WEN or Weathershield swinging patio door?
Those are among the door lines Emtek references for this trim, along with Ashland, G-U, Caradco, the JELD-WEN Custom Collection (formerly Pozzi), PGT, the Premium Collection (formerly Norco) and Weathershield. Being on that list is the starting point, not the finish: those makers used more than one multipoint layout over the years, so check the hole spacing on the door itself against the 3-5/8 inch center to center and the cylinder-above-handle arrangement before you order.
4) Can the Emtek 14B1 be keyed to match the Schlage keys I already use in the house?
Yes, if you order it in the Schlage keyway. The American cylinder on the 14B1 is offered in the Schlage keyway as standard or in the Weiser WR5 keyway, and keying to a code can be specified at no charge when you order, so it can be cut to an existing key code or keyed alike to the rest of a set. Pick the keyway that matches the keys already in service, since a Schlage-keyed cylinder will not accept a Weiser key.
5) Is the Emtek 14B1 keyed on both sides, or is there a thumbturn inside?
Single cylinder, keyed entry. The 14B1 takes a key on the exterior side only, and the interior side operates without a key. That is the usual arrangement for a swinging patio door where glass is right beside the lock, and it is worth knowing before you spec it, because a door that needs to be locked from inside with a key is a double cylinder application, not this trim.
6) Does the Emtek 14B1 multipoint trim come with levers, or do I pick those separately?
Levers are a separate selection made with the order. The 14B1 set ships with the plates, the handles and the cylinder, and it can be ordered with any Emtek brass lever, which is why there are dozens of lever styles to choose from against the same brass plate. Handing has to be called out too, right hand or left hand, since a lever trim set is handed and cannot be flipped in the field.

Seven finishes cover the brass plates and handles: Oil Rubbed Bronze US10B, Polished Nickel Lifetime US14, Satin Nickel US15, Flat Black US19, Polished Chrome US26, Unlacquered Brass US3NL and Satin Brass US4. Both keyway choices are offered in all seven, so the finish decision and the keyway decision are independent.
