1) Does the Emtek 1674 multi point trim include the lock body, or do I need to order the mortise lock separately?
Trim only. The 1674 set includes the plates and handles; the multi point mortise lock box is not included and has to be ordered separately. If you are replacing worn or dated hardware on a patio door where the existing multi point lock still works, the trim is all you need. New construction means sourcing the lock body too.
2) What does Door Configuration #6 mean on Emtek multi point trim?
Configuration #6 on the Emtek 1674 is the non-keyed setup for a semi-active door: a fixed (dummy) handle on the outside and an operating lever on the inside. There is no cylinder, so the door is not keyed from outside. Use it on the inactive or semi-active leaf of a pair of swinging patio doors; the keyed active leaf takes a different configuration.
3) Will Emtek Concord trim fit my Milgard or Pella swinging patio door?
Emtek lists Milgard and Pella as reference door manufacturers for this multi point trim. The plate is 1-1/2 by 11 inches with a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center between the handle and the cylinder hole, and the cylinder position sits below the handle. Match those three numbers against the prep already in your door before ordering.
4) Do I have to specify handing when ordering this Emtek patio door trim?
Yes, handing is required. The 1674 is ordered either right hand or left hand, and you also have to pick a lever style at the same time. Door thickness can be entered as well if your door is outside a standard slab. Get the handing wrong and the inside lever will point the wrong way.
5) There is no keyhole on this trim. How does the door lock?
The 1674 is the non-keyed half of the opening. It has no cylinder, so security comes from the keyed active leaf and from throwing the multi point lock from the inside lever. The spec does note an American cylinder classification for the configuration family, but on this particular trim nothing is prepped for a key from outside.
6) Can I pick any Emtek lever with the Concord plate?

These are the standard Emtek brass collection codes, so the trim will match interior Emtek levers and knobs carrying the same US number. Unlacquered brass will patina with time, the others hold their appearance.
