No. The 1L1A13 is trim only, meaning the interior and exterior plates and the handles. The multi point mortise lock box has to be sourced separately, and it needs to be the lock the door was built around. Order the trim to match the gear already in the door, not the other way round.
2) Which multi point lock gear does the Emtek 1L1A13 trim fit?
It is referenced to G-U multi point gear and uses a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center spacing between the handle and the cylinder hole. If the door's existing gear is G-U with that same 3-5/8 inch CTC, the plates line up. Measure the spacing on the door before ordering, since other multi point makers use different centers.
3) Is the 1L1A13 keyed, and what secures the door from inside?
There is no cylinder supplied with it, and the inside is an American style thumbturn rather than a keyed cylinder. Outside, the plate is prepped for an American style cylinder positioned below the handle, so you supply a mortise cylinder in the keyway you are keying the house to.
4) Do I have to specify handing on this Emtek arched entry set?
Yes, handing is required. You pick right hand or left hand when ordering, so establish the swing from the outside of the door first. A multi point trim cannot be flipped in the field the way a simple rosette set can.
