Trim only. The 1L1M21 set gives you the plates, the handles, and the cylinder. The multi point mortise lock box itself is a separate purchase, so if you are starting from a bare door you still need the lock body sized for that door before this trim does anything. On a door that already has a multi point mechanism in it, this is the dress-up half you are replacing.

3-5/8 inches center to center between the cylinder and the handle hub, with the cylinder sitting above the handle. That spacing and that cylinder position are what have to match the gearbox already in your door. If your existing multi point lock puts the cylinder below the handle, or the spacing is anything other than 3-5/8, this plate will not line up with the prep.

G-U is the reference door manufacturer for this trim, so it is built to that gearbox layout at 3-5/8 inch center to center with the cylinder above the handle. Confirm your door's gearbox matches that spacing and cylinder position and you are on the right part. Swinging patio doors are the application this set is made for.

Yes, and it is not optional. Right hand or left hand has to be chosen at order time. Stand outside the door: if the hinges are on your right it is a right hand door. Getting this wrong on a multi point trim means the lever and the plate face the wrong way and the set is not usable on that opening.

Two keyways: Schlage (the standard) and Weiser WR5. Pick the one your building already uses and the key you carry works this door too. Keying is handled at order time, keyed alike across a group of doors or keyed different, and you can supply a key code to have it cut to an existing system. That matters if you are running a fleet of units and do not want a second key on the ring.

Single cylinder. Key on the outside, thumbturn or lever operation on the inside, so nobody is hunting for a key to get out. It takes an American cylinder, which is the standard round mortise-style cylinder rather than a Euro profile, so a Euro cylinder from a European patio door will not swap into it.
