Trim only. The 1L1M54 set gives you the plates and handles, and the multi point mortise lock box is a separate purchase. If you are replacing worn or dated hardware on a patio door that already has a working multi point mechanism in the stile, this is exactly what you want. If you are starting from a bare door, you need the lock body and rods as well before this trim does anything.

The handle-to-cylinder center-to-center on the 1L1M54 is 3-5/8 inches, with the euro profile cylinder sitting below the handle. Measure from the center of your existing spindle hole down to the center of the cylinder hole on the door stile. If that measurement is 3-5/8 inches and your lock takes a euro profile cylinder, the trim lines up. If your gear runs a different spacing, or the cylinder sits above the handle, this plate will not cover the existing prep.

It is the inactive, or semi-active, leaf of a French or patio door pair. The outside handle is a dummy pull, fixed in place, and it does not retract anything. Plates and levers are solid brass throughout, substrate and material both. On the exterior side, the lifetime finishes (Polished Nickel US14 and Polished Brass US3) are the ones that stay put. Unlacquered Brass (US3NL) is intentionally raw and will darken and patina with weather and hand oils, which some buyers want and some do not. Oil Rubbed Bronze (US10B) and French Antique (US7) are living finishes too and will wear at the grip points over time.

The trim is cut for a euro profile cylinder positioned below the handle, but this is the non-keyed semi-active set, so no cylinder operates it and none is part of the package. The cylinder prep matters mainly for how the plate sits over the existing door hole. If you need a keyed function on that leaf, you are looking at the wrong trim set.
