Trim only. The 1L1R22 set gives you the interior and exterior plates and the handles; the multi point mortise lock box is not part of it and has to be sourced separately. Plan the order around the lock gearbox your door already has or the one the door manufacturer specifies.

The plates measure 2.5 by 17.5 inches and use a 3-5/8 inch center-to-center spacing, with the cylinder hole above the handle. It is built to the Large Multi Point configuration and referenced to G-U multi point hardware, so it drops onto a door prepped for that gear. If your door was prepped for a different CTC or has the cylinder below the lever, this trim will not land on the existing holes.

This one is the non-keyed passage version, so there is no cylinder and no key in the set. The plate is still made in the American cylinder format with the cylinder position above the handle, which is what the keyed versions of the same trim use. If you need the door to lock by key, order the keyed version of the trim rather than trying to convert this one.

Three things beyond finish: lever style, handing, and door thickness. Handing is right hand or left hand and is required, so determine it at the opening before ordering. Door thickness is entered as a text value so Emtek can set the spindle and screw length for your slab. Lever choice is open across the full brass lever range, from the modern L-Square, T-Bar and R-Bar families through Athena, Poseidon, Milano, Rope, Rustic and Arts and Crafts.

Seven: Oil Rubbed Bronze (US10B), Polished Nickel Lifetime (US14), Satin Nickel (US15), Flat Black (US19), Polished Chrome (US26), Unlacquered Brass (US3NL) and Satin Brass (US4). The plates are solid brass, and Unlacquered Brass is a living finish that will patina with handling, so pick it only if you want the door to change over time or need it to match existing unlacquered brass elsewhere in the house.

Each of these multi point trims now ships with a spring assist built in. It returns the lever to horizontal after use, which is the usual fix for the drooping lever problem on tall patio door trim where the gearbox alone is not carrying the lever weight.

It is classified residential and intended for swinging patio doors, so it is a house or high-end multi-family unit-door item rather than a commercial opening. For a commercial entry or a fire-rated corridor door, use a commercial-grade mortise or cylindrical lockset instead; this is decorative multi point patio trim.

Passage trim operates the multi point gear by lever alone, with no cylinder and no key control. It is what you use on the inactive or interior side of a pair, on a door where security is handled elsewhere, or on a patio door that only needs to pull the points home. If the door is an exterior entry that has to lock from outside, you want the keyed version of the trim with the cylinder above the handle instead.
