Engineered to integrate seamlessly with Emtek’s premium Flat Track Sliding Barn Door Hardware systems, this optional upgrade completely eliminates the harsh slamming, bounce-back, and noisy operations common with standard barn doors.
The BSC001 acts as a premium hydraulic damper hidden neatly behind or on top of the track. When the door is slid toward its final position, the system catches the door hanger and gently glides it to a smooth, controlled, and quiet positive stop. This not only preserves your wall framing, track mounts, and door finishes from repetitive impact wear, but it also provides a crucial safety layer for homes with curious children or pets.
⚠️ Important Ordering Note: Each kit contains one (1) dampening mechanism that works in a single direction (either Soft Open OR Soft Close). To enjoy controlled dampening on both ends of the track loop, you must order two (2) kits per sliding door panel.
