Metallics JPFMMV2231150 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size do the Metallics Hangermate JPFMMV2231150 anchors take?
The Hangermate JPFMMV2231150 is a 1/4-20 threaded anchor, so it accepts standard 1/4-20 threaded rod, bolts, or hanger hardware. Overall it is a 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 inch vertical-mount screw.
2) Is the Metallics JPFMMV2231150 Hangermate for overhead vertical loads or sideways mounting?
It is the vertical version, meaning it is driven into an overhead deck or structure so the load hangs straight down. If your support point puts the load at an angle off vertical, you want the angled/horizontal Hangermate variant instead, not this one.
3) How many Hangermate JPFMMV2231150 screws come in a jar?
They ship 25 to a jar, packaged as a jar pack. For an electrical or mechanical contractor running a floor of conduit, EMT hangers, or small pipe drops, that is roughly one jar per run of hanger points, so order jar count to your layout rather than piece count.
4) What do electrical contractors use the Metallics Hangermate 1/4-20 for?
It is a hanger anchor used to suspend conduit, EMT straps, strut, light fixtures, cable tray drops, and small piping from overhead structure. The 1/4-20 female thread is the common size for threaded rod drops and beam clamps on electrical work, which is why it is stocked as electrical hardware rather than general fastener stock.
5) What part number should I give my supplier for the Metallics vertical Hangermate 1/4-20 x 1-1/2?
Order it as Metallics JPFMMV2231150. That number covers the 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 vertical Hangermate in the 25-piece jar; the thread size, length, and mounting orientation are all baked into that single number, so no suffix is needed.
