Metallics JPFMMV2231250 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size does the Metallics JPFMMV2231250 Hangermate take?
The Hangermate JPFMMV2231250 is a 1/4-20 vertical anchor, so it accepts 1/4-20 threaded rod or 1/4-20 machine-thread bolts. If your job is run on 3/8-16 rod, this is not the piece to order.
2) Is the Hangermate JPFMMV2231250 for vertical or horizontal installation?
It's the vertical version, meaning the fastener drives up into the underside of the structure so the rod or hanger hangs straight down. For angled or sideways pulls off a wall or beam side, you want the horizontal style of Hangermate instead.
3) How many Hangermate JPFMMV2231250 anchors come in a jar?
They ship 25 to a jar, which is the standard pack for this item. Order in jar multiples when you're figuring hanger counts for a conduit or fixture run.
4) What is a Hangermate anchor used for on an electrical job?
It's a threaded hanger anchor: the fastener sets into the structure and leaves a 1/4-20 female thread ready for rod, so you can hang conduit, cable tray hangers, strut, boxes or light fixtures without drilling and through-bolting. Metallics carries it as electrical hanging hardware, and the 2 inch vertical version in this part number is a steel anchor.
5) What length is the Metallics JPFMMV2231250 Hangermate?
2 inches. That length has to reach through whatever you're fastening into and still get full engagement in the structure, so check your deck or member depth before committing to a full jar.
6) Do I need anything else to hang conduit with the JPFMMV2231250 Hangermate?
The jar contains the anchors only. You still supply the 1/4-20 threaded rod or bolt and whatever clamp, strap, or hanger attaches the conduit or fixture at the other end.
