Metallics JPFMMV2231000 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is this Hangermate for overhead vertical loads or for side mounting?
This is the vertical version, meant to be driven into the structure overhead so the load hangs straight down in line with the fastener. For a load that pulls sideways off a wall or a beam face, you want the horizontal style Hangermate instead, not this one.
2) Can I use a 1/4-20 Hangermate to hang electrical conduit and fixtures?
That is the intended use. The Hangermate is a threaded hanger fastener used on electrical work to suspend conduit, boxes, and fixtures from the structure above, with a 1/4-20 thread for standard 1/4-20 rod or hanger fittings. Size the rod and any clamps to match that 1/4-20 thread.
3) How many pieces come in a jar of the Metallics JPFMMV2231000?
25 pieces per jar. It is packaged as a jar rather than loose count, so the minimum you take is the full 25 on the electrical hardware side of the catalog.
4) Is the Metallics Hangermate steel or stainless?
Steel. If the run is outdoors, in a wash-down area, or anywhere corrosion is a concern, specify a corrosion resistant hanger instead of this steel version.
