Metallics JPFMWV2251100 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the Metallics JPFMWV2251100 Hangermate anchor into, and what size rod does it take?
It is a wood-substrate Hangermate screw anchor sized 1/4 x 2, so it drives into wood framing (joists, beams, blocking) and accepts 1/4 inch threaded rod for hanging. It is not an anchor for concrete, steel or hollow substrates.
2) Is the Metallics Hangermate JPFMWV2251100 meant for straight-down (vertical) hanging or angled work?
This one is the vertical version, meaning it installs into the underside of wood framing for a load hanging straight down. If your rod needs to run at an angle off the structure, you want an angled Hangermate rather than this part.
3) How many Hangermate JPFMWV2251100 anchors come in a jar?
25 per jar. The jar pack is the catalogued pack type, so ordering one unit gets you 25 anchors, which is worth knowing when you are counting hanger points on a conduit or sprinkler run before you order.
4) Can I use a 1/4 inch Hangermate wood anchor to hang electrical conduit and strut from wood joists?
Yes. The 1/4 x 2 Hangermate is an electrical-trade fastener for hanging off wood structure with 1/4 inch all-thread, which is the usual setup for conduit clamps, trapeze drops and light fixture supports. Match the load to your engineer's or the rod's rating for the run.
5) What part number do I give my distributor for the 1/4 x 2 vertical wood Hangermate?
Metallics part number JPFMWV2251100. That designation covers the 1/4 inch vertical wood-mount Hangermate in the 2 inch length, jar of 25.
