One ring covers both. The Oatey 90220 Hercules Johni-Ring is a standard size wax gasket sized for 3 in. or 4 in. waste openings, so you don't need to know which flange is in the floor before you buy it.

Floor mounted toilets. The 90220 is a wax closet gasket that seats between a floor mounted water closet and the closet flange. A wall hung carrier fixture uses a different gasket setup, so this is not the part for it.

The 90220 uses a soft, flexible high-grade petroleum wax that compresses under the weight of the bowl to form a gas and watertight seal on most types of water closets, which is what lets it conform to a worn or slightly irregular flange face. Where the flange sits well below the finished floor, a flange spacer or extender ring is the correct fix rather than stacking wax.

The horn is a molded plastic funnel in the center of the wax ring that extends down into the flange and channels discharge straight into the drain.
