1) Which Houzer sinks does the BG-1100 bottom grid fit?
The BG-1100 Wirecraft grid is cut to fit six Houzer sink models only: CS-1105, LHD-3322, MG-3209, PGT-4322, MGT-4120 and EHD-3118. It is not a universal grid. If your sink is not one of those six, this one will either rock on the basin radius or sit proud of the drain, so match the model number stamped or printed on your sink paperwork before ordering.
2) I have a Houzer double bowl sink. Is one BG-1100 enough for both bowls?
No. The BG-1100 is a single grid sized at 14-9/16 by 6-5/16 inches, which covers one bowl. On a double bowl setup such as the LHD-3322 you will want a grid for each basin, and the larger bowl of an offset sink takes a different, wider grid than this one. Order by bowl, not by sink.
3) Does a bottom sink grid actually stop scratches, or is it just for looks?
It does real work. The wire grid holds pots, pans and dishes off the stainless basin floor, so grit and cast iron never drag across the finish, and it cushions glassware you set down hard. The protective plastic feet keep the grid itself from sliding around and take the ring out of the sink when you are washing.
