1) Will the Houzer CNM-2700 sink fit a 30 inch sink base cabinet?
A 30 inch base is the minimum for the CNM-2700. The sink measures 26-1/2 x 18 x 10 inches overall, so a 30 inch cabinet leaves enough rail-to-rail room for the undermount flange and clips. Anything narrower than 30 inches will not take it.
2) What size drain opening does the Houzer CNM-2700 kitchen sink have, and will a garbage disposal fit?
The drain opening is 3-1/2 inches, which is the standard US kitchen opening, so a standard 3-1/2 inch disposal mounting flange or a standard basket strainer both land in it. The drain sits at the rear of the bowl, which keeps the tailpiece back toward the wall and frees up cabinet space in front.
3) Is a strainer and bottom grid included with the Houzer CNM-2700, or do I order those separately?
Both come in the box: basket strainer 190-9180 and bottom grid BG-2750. Mounting hardware and a template are included as well. The cutting board CB-4100 is the one accessory sold separately.
4) Can the Houzer CNM-2700 be installed as a drop-in or topmount sink?
No. The CNM-2700 is an undermount sink only, with no deck or rim to rest on the countertop. It mounts to the underside of a solid-surface top such as granite or quartz, using the supplied clips and template. If you need a drop-in, you need a topmount model with a finished rim and faucet deck.
5) How deep is the bowl on the Houzer Savior CNM-2700, and what are the usable inside dimensions?
The bowl is 10 inches deep with an inside footprint of 24-1/2 by 16 inches. That depth takes full-size sheet pans and stockpots below the rim, but check your drain height in the cabinet first since a 10 inch bowl plus a disposal eats most of the vertical room under a standard countertop.
6) Is 18 gauge T-304 stainless tough enough for a rental or multi-family kitchen?
Yes. The CNM-2700 is 18 gauge T-304 stainless, the chromium-nickel grade used for corrosion resistance in commercial and residential kitchens, and 18 gauge is the heavier of the two common residential thicknesses (18 versus 20). It also carries a sound-absorbing pad to cut clatter, which matters in stacked units.
7) Does the Houzer CNM-2700 have the tight square corners or rounded corners?
The Savior CNM-2700 uses 10 mm radius corners, a soft square. That reads contemporary like a zero-radius bowl but is easier to wipe out than a true sharp corner, and the walls are deep-drawn straight with a moderate radius at the base so debris sweeps to the drain.
