1) Can the Houzer E-100 be installed undermount, or is it drop-in only?
Either one. The E-100 is a dual mount sink, so the same bowl drops into a cut counter from above or mounts underneath a stone or solid surface top. Undermount is the usual choice with granite or quartz counters; topmount is what you want on laminate, where you cannot support an undermount edge.
2) Will a standard kitchen disposal fit the Houzer E-100 bar sink?
The drain opening is 3-1/2 inches, which is the standard US kitchen sink drain size, so a typical disposal flange or basket strainer mates to it. The drain sits at the rear of the bowl, which keeps more usable space under the cabinet for the trap and disposal body.
3) What comes in the box with the Houzer E-100, and what do I still have to buy?
Mounting clips, a cutout template and installation instructions ship with the sink. You supply the drain assembly and faucet. Houzer lists the 190-9180 basket strainer and the 62804 bottom grid as the matching accessories for this bowl.
4) How deep is the bowl on the Houzer E-100 and will it hold a bar pitcher?
The single bowl is 13 x 13 inches with an 8-1/16 inch depth. That is deeper than most bar sinks, so cocktail shakers, pitchers and a sheet pan on edge clear the rim, but it also means you need the drain and trap set fairly low in the cabinet.
5) Does the Houzer E-100 have a faucet hole drilled in it?
No deck holes are drilled. The E-100 is a plain square bowl, so the faucet goes through the countertop or the wall behind it. That is what lets the same sink work undermount, and it means you decide hole count and spacing when the top is fabricated.
6) Is a granite composite bar sink durable enough for a commercial bar or a rental unit?
