1) Does the Houzer G-300 need a template or undermount clips, or does it drop straight into the countertop?
The G-300 is a topmount, so it drops into the cutout and the rim rests on the counter surface. That means it works on laminate, butcher block, or solid surface where an undermount is not an option, and it does not require a fabricated stone edge under the bowl. Mounting hardware and installation instructions come in the box.
2) How many faucet holes does the Houzer G-300 granite sink have, and can I add a soap dispenser or air switch?
One hole comes pre-drilled and four more are pre-scored. You knock out only what you need, so a single-hole pulldown uses the drilled hole alone, and a widespread faucet with a side spray, soap dispenser, or disposal air switch can use up to four positions total. Opening a pre-scored hole is done on site during install.
3) Will a standard garbage disposal fit the Houzer G-300 Quartztone sink?
The G-300 has a 3-1/2 inch drain opening, which is the standard kitchen size that food waste disposers and standard basket strainers are built to. The drain sits at the rear of the bowl, which keeps the disposal body and P-trap toward the back of the cabinet and leaves usable storage underneath.
4) Does a basket strainer or bottom grid come with the Houzer G-300 sink?
No. The G-300 ships with mounting hardware and instructions only. The strainer, the protective bottom grid, and the fitted cutting board are separate Houzer accessories: basket strainer 190-9180, bottom grid 629808, and cutting board CB-4100. Add the strainer at minimum, since the sink cannot be plumbed without one unless you are installing a disposal.
5) Can I use the Houzer G-300 to replace an existing 25 by 22 inch drop-in sink?
A 25 by 22 inch topmount cutout is the most common single-bowl drop-in footprint, and the G-300 matches it at 25 x 22 with a 9-1/2 inch exterior depth. The rim covers the existing opening the same way the old sink did. Check depth under the cabinet before you commit: at 9 inches of bowl the drain sits lower than a shallow builder sink, so the trap arm may need to be reworked.
6) How deep is the bowl on the Houzer G-300 and will a large sheet pan lay flat in it?
Working bowl is 22-3/8 by 16-1/2 inches with 9 inches of depth. A half sheet pan at 18 by 13 inches lays flat inside it, and a full sheet at 26 by 18 will not. The single large basin is the reason to pick this over a divided bowl if you wash oversized cookware.
7) What colors does the Houzer G-300 Quartztone sink come in?
