No mounting hardware ships with the PTD-6400. A fireclay apron sink of this size gets carried by the cabinet, so the installer needs to build a plywood or ledger support platform under it and set the height so the apron sits flush with the cabinet face. Installation instructions are supplied with the sink. Budget for the support build on the job, it is not in the box.
2) What drain and disposal will fit the Houzer PTD-6400?
Both bowls take a standard 3-1/2 inch kitchen drain opening, which is the same opening a garbage disposal flange mounts to, so a disposal can go under either bowl. The drains sit at the rear of each bowl, which keeps the trap and tailpiece toward the back wall of the cabinet and leaves usable storage underneath. With a 50/50 split there is no designated prep or disposal side, so put the disposal wherever the existing trap arm lands.
3) How deep are the bowls on the PTD-6400 and will a sheet pan fit?
Each bowl runs 14-7/8 x 16-7/16 inches with a 7-3/8 inch working depth, inside an 8-1/4 inch exterior. Both bowls are the same size, 50/50. That interior length takes a half sheet pan laid flat but not a full sheet, so for institutional or heavy prep work where full pans get washed, a single bowl apron sink is the better call.
4) What is the difference between the PTD-6400 sink only and the version with strainer and grids?
Two order options. Sink only, or sink with a basket strainer (190-9180) and a matched pair of bottom grids (BG-7050L and BG-7050R, one shaped for each bowl). The -C suffix on the part number is the kit version: PTD-6400-WH-C in gloss white, PTD-6400-BQ-C in gloss biscuit. On a fireclay basin the bottom grids are worth having, they keep cast iron cookware off the glaze.
