1) What size cabinet do I need for the Houzer PTS-2600 farmhouse sink?
A 30 inch sink base is the minimum for the PTS-2600. The sink itself measures 26 x 20 x 10-1/8 inches, so the base has to carry that footprint plus the apron cutout. Anything under a 30 inch cabinet and you are into modifying the cabinet box, not just the face frame.
2) Does the Houzer PTS-2600 fireclay sink come with mounting hardware or a support frame?
No mounting hardware ships with the PTS-2600. Fireclay is heavy, and an apron front bowl this size sits on a supporting cradle or ledger built into the cabinet, so plan the substructure as part of the job. Installation instructions are supplied with the sink. Budget for the cradle stock and fasteners separately when you quote the install.
3) Will a standard 3-1/2 inch kitchen drain and disposal fit the Houzer PTS-2600?
Yes. The PTS-2600 has a 3-1/2 inch drain opening in the center of the bowl, which is the standard US kitchen size, so a normal basket strainer or a garbage disposal flange mounts straight in. Center drain also means the tailpiece drops in the middle of the cabinet rather than to one side, so check it against your existing trap arm location before you set the sink.
4) What is the difference between the PTS-2600 sink only and the version with the strainer and grid?
Two ordering choices on the Platus 26 inch. The sink-only versions are PTS-2600-WH in gloss white and PTS-2600-BQ in gloss biscuit. The combo versions carry a C suffix, PTS-2600-WH-C and PTS-2600-BQ-C, and add the 190-9180 basket strainer and the BG-7500 bottom grid. Same sink either way. If you already stock strainers or you are putting a disposal on it, the sink-only SKU is the one you want.
5) How deep is the bowl on the Houzer Platus 26 inch farmhouse sink?
The usable bowl depth is 9-1/4 inches, inside a bowl measuring 24-1/4 by 18-1/8 inches. Exterior depth is 10-1/8 inches. That interior clearance takes a full size sheet pan or a stock pot lying down, and the difference between the two depth numbers is the fireclay wall thickness you need to allow for when you set the cradle height.
6) Can I mount the Houzer PTS-2600 fireclay sink undermount, or does the apron have to be exposed?
It is an apron front sink, so the front face is finished and meant to be seen, with the cabinet face frame cut away for it. Behind the apron the bowl can be set to the counter, but the apron itself is not a detail you can hide. If you need a sink that disappears entirely under a stone top with no cabinet modification, an apron front is the wrong style for that opening.
7) Is the Houzer PTS-2600 approved for code inspection on a plumbing permit?
The Platus PTS-2600 carries an ICC certification, which is the listing an inspector looks for on a plumbing fixture. Worth noting on the submittal if you are specifying for an institutional or multi-family job where fixtures get reviewed.

No deck holes on this sink. The PTS-2600 is a single bowl apron front with no faucet ledge, so the faucet, the sprayer, the soap dispenser and any air gap all get drilled in the countertop or wall behind the sink. That is what lets you set the faucet centerline wherever the run works, but it means the countertop fabricator needs the hole count and spacing before templating.
9) Is a fireclay sink durable enough for a rental or a commercial kitchenette?
Fireclay is fired for over 20 hours at 2200 degrees F, which leaves a non-porous glazed surface that resists staining, chipping and scratching. The tradeoff versus stainless in a hard-use setting is impact: dropped cast iron is what damages a fireclay bowl, not daily wear. For turnover cleaning the rounded small-radius corners are the practical win, since there is no square inside corner collecting residue.
10) Where is the Houzer Platus fireclay sink made?
