1) Will a standard kitchen basket strainer and disposal fit the Houzer Eston STS-1300 drain opening?
The drain opening is 3-1/2 inches, which is the standard US kitchen sink size, so a standard 3-1/2 inch basket strainer or a garbage disposal mounting flange will fit. The drain sits at the center of the bowl, so the tailpiece drops straight down the middle rather than to one side, which matters if your existing trap arm is offset for a rear or corner drain. Houzer ships the STS-1300 with its 190-9180 basket strainer on the version that includes accessories.
2) What is the difference between the Houzer STS-1300-1 and STS-1300-C?
Same sink, different box contents. STS-1300-1 is the bowl on its own. STS-1300-C is the bowl plus the 190-9180 basket strainer and the BG-2500 bottom grid. Both are satin stainless steel. Spec the -1 if you are already standardizing on a disposal flange or your own strainers across a building; spec the -C for a single replacement where you want the grid and strainer in the same shipment.
3) Can the Houzer STS-1300 be undermounted to a granite or quartz countertop, and does it come with the clips?
