Nylon also takes flexing and handling better than a vinyl sleeve.
6) Can I crimp this 3/0 ring terminal with hand pliers?
No. A 3/0 copper barrel needs a hydraulic or heavy mechanical crimper with the correct die for the barrel size. Standard hand pliers for 22-10 AWG insulated terminals won't develop enough force to make a sound connection on the RK727, and an under-crimped 600 V termination is a heat problem waiting to happen.
7) Is a yellow insulated terminal always 3/0, or does yellow mean something else?
