Dormakaba 801260-000-01 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Kaba Access 801260-000-01 back plate assembly handed, and will it work on a left hand door?
It is a right hand assembly only. The 801260-000-01 is built for right hand openings, so on a left hand door you need the left hand version of the back plate instead. Confirm the hand of the door by standing outside the door, on the side it swings away from: if the hinges are on your right, it is a right hand door.
2) How many versions of the Kaba Access 801260-000-01 back plate assembly are there, and which one do I order?
There is one configuration: model 801260-000-01, right hand. No finish, size, or handing choice to make, so ordering by that number gets you the exact part. If your opening is left handed, this number is the wrong one and you should order the opposite hand assembly.
3) Is the Kaba Access 801260-000-01 back plate rated for commercial door traffic or is it a residential part?
Commercial. The 801260-000-01 back plate assembly is catalogued for commercial door hardware use, which is what a property manager or MRO buyer wants to hear before putting it on an entry that sees daily traffic in an office, school, or multi-family building.
