Medeco Mortise Cylinder Overview

The Medeco mortise cylinder features external threads designed to screw directly into standard mortise lock cylinder housings from other manufacturers. A cam on the back engages the internal lock mechanism, and the cylinder is secured with a set screw. These cylinders provide a seamless retrofit for upgrading to Medeco cylinder lock protection without replacing the existing hardware.

Medeco Rim Cylinder Overview

Rim cylinders are typically used with auxiliary locking devices such as:

• Surface-mounted deadbolts

• Night latches

• Panic exit devices

• Jimmyproof locks (interlocking deadbolts / vertical dropbolts)

They mount with a back plate and two screws, offering a secure and compatible fit for a wide variety of aftermarket and OEM applications.
