1) Can I use the Nibco 507-3 flared elbow on a potable water line?
No. The 507-3 flared 90-degree elbow is cast from ASTM B584 alloy C84400 bronze, and use in U.S. drinking water applications has been prohibited since January 3, 2014. Keep it on non-potable work such as irrigation or other non-drinking-water service. For potable lines you need a lead-free rated fitting.
2) What connections are on the Nibco 507-3 elbow, flare or thread?
One of each. It is an FL x F fitting: a flare connection on one end and a female NPT thread on the other, so it turns the line 90 degrees and converts flare tubing over to threaded pipe in the same fitting.
3) What sizes does the Nibco 507-3 flared elbow come in?
