1) Will a copper ring terminal work on aluminum 6 AWG conductor?
No. The E6-516 barrel is copper, so it is for copper conductor only. Aluminum wire needs a terminal rated AL/CU with the appropriate inhibitor compound; crimping aluminum into a copper-only barrel creates a galvanic connection that loosens and heats over time.
2) Is this Sta-Kon ring terminal insulated?
No. The E6-516 is a non-insulated ring terminal, bare copper with a metallic finish, so there is no nylon or vinyl sleeve over the barrel. If the connection is in a spot where you need the barrel covered, you either add heat shrink over it after crimping or buy an insulated terminal instead.
3) Should I use a ring terminal or a spade terminal for a 6 AWG connection to a stud?
A ring terminal like the E6-516 has a closed tongue, so the connection cannot vibrate off the stud even if the nut backs off slightly. A spade (fork) tongue slides out from the side, which is faster to service but is not accepted on vibrating equipment or where a captive connection is required. For motor leads, battery studs, and equipment grounding bars, the closed ring is the one to use.
