1) What pipe sizes does the Oatey 11930 All-Flash High-Rise roof flashing fit?
The Oatey 11930 covers DWV vent pipe from 1.5 inch through 3 inch. The All-Flash collar has a tear-away ring, so you cut back to the ring that matches your pipe diameter and the rubber seals against it. One part covers the whole range instead of stocking three separate flashings.
2) Can I use the Oatey 11930 flashing on a steep pitched roof?
Yes. The 11930 High-Rise flashing slides over the DWV pipe and is rated for roof pitch up to 60 degrees, so it works on steep-slope shingle and similar roofs, not just low slope.
3) Will this Oatey flashing work on a hot-mopped or built-up roof?
No. The 11930 is specifically not for hot-mopped or built-up roofs. The thermoplastic base and rubber collar won't take that application, so for a BUR or mod-bit assembly you need a metal-base flashing instead.
4) What size is the base flange on the Oatey 11930 vent flashing?
The base measures 11 x 19 inches, which is the larger High-Rise footprint. Lay out your shingle courses so the flange laps under the upslope course and over the downslope course.
5) Can I paint the Oatey 11930 roof flashing to match my shingles?
Don't. Paint and petroleum based products are not to be used on the plastic base or the rubber collar. The base is rigid black thermoplastic that is made non-fading and non-cracking, and the sealing collar is non-fading as well, so it holds its color without coating.
6) Is the Oatey All-Flash High-Rise approved for Type B vent installations?
Yes, the 11930 is approved for Type B installations in addition to standard DWV vent stacks.
