3) Should I use a round top or a square top floor drain for a commercial tile floor?

Square tops are generally picked where the drain lands in a tile field and the installer wants the grate edges to follow the grout lines. 4) Is a PVC-body drain acceptable on a commercial job, or do I need cast iron?
The 72334 pairs a PVC body with a cast metal top, which is the standard approach on commercial DWV systems already run in PVC: you solvent weld into the same material you piped with, and you still get a metal walking surface. Where the specification calls for a cast iron body, typically no-hub or service weight systems, this PVC drain will not satisfy it and you need a cast iron bodied drain instead.
