1) Will the Pemko 305 perimeter gasket seal the gap on my commercial door frame?
The 305 gasket seals gaps up to the depth of its seal insert. The aluminum housing runs 7/8 inch high by 7/8 inch wide, and it mounts to the frame side, so it works on the stop of a standard hollow metal or aluminum frame where you have 7/8 inch of stop face to land it on. Measure the flat of your stop first, if you have less than 7/8 inch of usable stop face the housing will overhang.
2) Neoprene or sponge neoprene insert on the Pemko 305 gasket, which one do I want?
Both are stocked on the 305. Neoprene is the solid insert and gives a firmer wipe, it suits exterior openings and doors that close hard and stay closed. Sponge neoprene is the softer, more compressible insert, so it takes up an uneven gap better and is the one to pick when the door is slightly out of plumb or when you want lower closing force on a door with a closer. The 305 series is also built with silicone and EPDM inserts, but neoprene and sponge neoprene are the two carried here.
3) Can I use the Pemko 305 on the meeting stile of a pair of doors instead of a full astragal?

If your pair needs a physical overlap for security or for a fire label, you need an astragal profile instead.

Keep a drill and a #6 pilot bit on the cart, and plan on cutting the extrusion to length with a miter saw and a non ferrous blade.
