Pro-Lok AO-27 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Pro-Lok AO-27 handle pull tool used for?
The Pro-Lok AO-27 is a car opening tool, part of the MCOT (multi-car opening tool) handle pull line set up for the BMW 323i. It is a long reach type tool used to reach inside a vehicle and pull the interior door handle to release the latch on a locked-out car.
2) Is the Pro-Lok AO-27 a lockout tool for one specific vehicle or does it work on several?
It is sold as a handle pull under Pro-Lok's multi-car opening tool line, referenced to the BMW 323i. Locksmiths typically buy the handle pull that matches the interior handle geometry of the vehicle they work on most, so match the tool to the car you are opening rather than assuming a single pull covers every model.
3) Does the Pro-Lok AO-27 include a slide lock function as well as the handle pull?
Yes. Alongside the handle pull use, the AO-27 is listed as a slide lock tool, so it can also be used to work a sliding lock button as well as pulling an interior door handle.
4) Is the Pro-Lok AO-27 a professional grade tool or a consumer kit?
It is classed as commercial automotive tooling, aimed at locksmiths, roadside assistance, repo, and fleet techs rather than a homeowner emergency kit. It is one tool, not a full lockout kit, so pair it with the wedges and long reach accessories you already run.
5) How many versions of the Pro-Lok AO-27 are there?
One. The handle pull is offered as a single model, AO-27, with no size, length, or finish choices to specify when ordering.
