The Red 1 board has a built-in power supply and takes 12V-24V DC input, and it powers readers and other door hardware directly off the bus. The battery is a separate purchase. If you are installing to UL 294, a backup battery has to be installed, so plan that into the order along with the enclosure space.
2) Will the PDK Red 1 controller work with my existing Wiegand readers, or do I have to move to OSDP?
