1) Will the Thomas & Betts D8-10 ring terminal fit 8 AWG wire and a #10 stud?
That is exactly what the D8-10 is built for: 8 AWG wire range, #10 stud size. It is a one-size terminal, not a range, so 8 AWG stranded copper landing on a #10 screw or stud is the match. Step up or down in wire gauge and you need a different part number in the D Series.
2) What crimp tool do I need for a Thomas & Betts D8-10 ring terminal?
TBM6S is the recommended tool. WT115A, TBM6 and WT3185 are also listed as application tools for it. The barrel is serrated and takes either a single or double indentor crimp, so a proper indent crimper is required, not pliers.
3) Can I use a D8-10 ring terminal on a 600V motor control center or a high-heat location?
It is rated 600V and 150 degrees C, which covers standard commercial and industrial branch circuits, motor control centers and distribution gear, including engine and equipment areas that run hot. The copper body is electro tin-plated for corrosion resistance, and the part is RoHS compliant.
