Metallics RJK3 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What pipe sizes will the Metallics RJK3 roof jack fit?
The RJK3 roof jack kit covers pipe sizes from 1/4 inch up to 4 inch, so one kit handles everything from small conduit or refrigerant line penetrations through to 4 inch pipe. That range is why it is usually the one kept on the truck instead of a size-specific boot.
2) How much roof area does the RJK3 base cover?
It has an 8 inch base. Plan the penetration so you have a clear, flat 8 inch footprint of deck or roofing around the pipe for the flange to seat and be flashed or sealed into.
3) Is the Metallics RJK3 sold individually or in a multi-pack?
It ships as a single kit, one roof jack per order. If you are flashing several conduit or pipe penetrations on the same roof, order one RJK3 per opening.
4) What is the exact manufacturer part number for the Metallics 8 inch base roof jack kit?
Metallics catalogs it as RJK3. That is the 8 inch base version covering 1/4 inch to 4 inch pipe, sold one kit to a package, and it is the number to quote so you do not get an adjacent base size.
