It replaces a 40 watt incandescent A15. The LED draws 5.5 watts at 120 volts and puts out 450 lumens, so you get roughly the same light for about an eighth of the load. At 0.046 amps per lamp, you can run a lot of them on one circuit compared with the 40W lamps coming out.

Yes. The S9065 is an enclosed rated lamp, so it can go in a closed globe, a jelly jar, or a fan light kit with a sealed shade without cooking the driver. It also carries a damp location rating, which covers a covered porch, bathroom, or laundry area, but not direct wet exposure.

No. This lamp is marked non-compliant for California, so it should not be specified for jobs under California's lamp regulations. For California properties, pick an A15 intermediate base LED that is listed as CA compliant.

The lamp is dimmable on 120V, 60Hz line voltage. It is not a three-way lamp, so do not put it in a three-way socket expecting three light levels. It also has no selectable color temperature, it is fixed at 3000K.

3000K is warm white, close to the color of a standard incandescent and warmer than a 4000K neutral or 5000K daylight lamp. If your existing lamps are incandescent or halogen, this blends. If you have already converted other fixtures to 4000K or 5000K LED in the same room, this one will read noticeably yellower. CRI is 80, which is standard for general residential and common area lighting.

Rated for 25,000 average hours. Running roughly 12 hours a day in a corridor or common area, that is on the order of five years per lamp, which is the case property managers make for swapping intermediate base incandescents out in bulk rather than one at a time.

Any orientation. The burning position is universal, so base up in a ceiling can, base down in a pendant, or horizontal in a fan light kit all work the same.
