Schaub 412 12" Center to Center Lumiere Transitional Appliance Pull

The 412 uses 1/4-20 machine screws supplied at 1 inch long. That is a heavier thread than the 8-32 used on ordinary cabinet pulls, which is what you want on an appliance panel. One inch of screw covers a standard 3/4 inch panel plus a little; if you are mounting through a thicker custom panel or a panel plus a filler, you will need longer 1/4-20 screws, which are a standard off-the-shelf size.

Projection is 2-1/4 inches from the face of the panel, with a 1-1/8 inch base. That is a deep grip for an appliance pull, which is the point on a heavy refrigerator or freezer door. Where it matters is clearance: with 2-1/4 inches of projection, check the swing against an adjacent wall, island run, or a return corner before you commit to the location.

The Schaub 412 Lumiere Transitional is an appliance pull on 12 inch center-to-center spacing with a 15 inch overall length, which is far wider than a typical drawer front takes. For short spacing, the Trimco 553 Series drawer pull is built on 3 inch center-to-center, and the Trimco 562 Series is offered in 3-1/2 inch, 4 inch and 96mm center-to-center options. For a pull this size carrying the weight of a refrigerator door being yanked open several times a day, solid brass with 1/4-20 threads is the construction that holds up, as opposed to a zinc pull with 8-32 screws.

The Schaub 412 is a transitional-style solid brass pull from the Lumiere Transitional collection. For a harder-edged modern profile in the same base material, the Deltana SBP35 is a modern square bar pull at 3-1/2 inch in heavy-duty solid brass, and Omnia's modern cabinet pulls in forged solid brass include the 1969 and 1971 at 1-3/16 inch projection and the 1970 at 1-1/4 inch projection. They serve a similar long-bar look but differ in material and build. If your specification calls for solid brass or for the 12 inch hole spacing already drilled in an appliance panel, the 412 is the one that matches; the CK-12001 is the steel option when a satin nickel bar is all the job needs.

The Lumiere Transitional 412 is a transitional profile, softer than a straight bar. The Schaub 412 is a 12 inch center-to-center appliance pull, so it is not offered as a knob.
