6) Can I put an interchangeable core in place of the Schlage 23-195?

Sharing the C keyway means it can be cut to the same key system, but it seats in a mortise lock body, not in a Schlage ALX70 lever. The 23-195 is the key-in-lever cylinder for that lever and is available in C keyway as well as the CE, E, EF, F, FG, G and multiplex C and S groups. Keyway compatibility and housing compatibility are two separate checks; a shared keyway alone never makes two cylinders interchangeable.
8) Does the Schlage 23-195 cylinder come with keys?
