1) What backset and door thickness does the Schlage L9050BDC mortise lock require?
Plan on a 2-3/4 inch backset, and only that. The L Series mortise case is built to a single 2-3/4 inch (70 mm) backset, so if your door is already prepped at 2-3/8 inches the pocket and cross bore will not line up.
