• Outside lever continuously locked (EL) or unlocked (EU) by 12V or 24V DC;
• Latchbolt retracted by lever/knob inside or key outside;
• Auxiliary latch deadlocks latchbolt when door is closed;
• Inside lever always free for immediate egress;
• EL: Switch or power failure allows outside lever to retract latchbolt;
• EU: Switch or power failure locks (EU) outside lever.

The Schlage L Series has long been the benchmark for mortise locks. The L Series is more than strength and security – it offers tremendous flexibility to allow it to meet the needs of most every application. Over 55 functions, 35 lever and knob designs, eight different roses and escutcheons, and a multitude of prep options are just the beginning.

180 degree visibility indicators, advanced motor-driven electrified functions, a universal lock case that supports 10 different functions, and the ability to suite across tubular, exit device, and multipoint locks allow the Schlage L Series to integrate seamlessly into any environment.

• Spacing: knob or lever to cylinder 3-7/8" (98 mm); knob or lever to thumbturn hub 2-11/16" (68 mm)
• Door thickness: 1-3/4" (44 mm) standard; 1-3/8" (35 mm) minimum; specify door thickness if over 1-3/4" and position in door (EE, EI, EO, ED)

• Two knob designs made of heavy-duty wrought brass or stainless steel

• L escutcheons: 7 15⁄16” x 1 3⁄4” x 7⁄16” (202 mm x 44 mm x 11 mm); cold-forged brass and stainless steel
• N escutcheons: 7 7⁄8” x 2 1⁄2” x 7⁄16” (200 mm x 64 mm x 11 mm); heavy wrought reinforced brass and stainless steel
