1) Will the Schlage L9092EL still let people out if the power goes down?
Egress is never electrified on the L9092. The inside lever is always free, mechanically, so anyone inside gets out whether power is up or down. On the outside, the EL variant unlocks the lever on power loss (fail safe), so a switch failure or dropped power lets the outside lever retract the latchbolt. The EU variant does the opposite and locks the outside lever when power drops (fail secure). Same lock body, customer-selectable, so decide which state your opening needs before you order.
2) What voltage and current does the Schlage L9092 electrified mortise lock draw?
It runs on 12 or 24VDC and auto detects which it is fed, so one part number covers both bus voltages. Current draw is 400mA. Size the power supply for that draw per opening, and if you are running several doors off one supply, multiply it out before you commit to the transformer.
3) Will a Schlage L9092EL fit a 1-3/8 inch door?
No. The L9092 is specified for 1-3/4 inch doors only. Standard commercial doors are 1-3/4, so most openings are fine, but an older 1-3/8 inch interior door is out of range for this lock as configured. The mortise pocket itself takes a case measuring 4-7/16 x 6-1/16 x 1 inches, so the door also has to be prepped for a mortise lock, not a cylindrical bore.
4) Do I have to order the Schlage L9092 handed?
No handing on the order. The L9092 is field reversible, so one lock covers left and right hand openings and you set it at install. That is worth knowing if you are stocking spares for a building, since a single part number covers every door swing.
5) What does the request-to-exit switch on the Schlage L9092 do, and what else can I get with it?

Two cylinder choices are offered. Order the P option and you get a conventional 6-pin cylinder in the C keyway. Order the L option, less conventional cylinder, and you supply your own cylinder so the lock goes onto your existing keyway and master system. That L option is the one to take if a locksmith is keying the building to a restricted or proprietary keyway. Cataloged standard cylinder is a conventional 6-pin in the S123 keyway.
8) Is the Schlage L9092 rated for a fire door?
