1) Will the Schlage L9440 privacy mortise lock fit a standard 1-3/4 inch commercial door?
Yes. The L9440 is built for 1-3/4 inch doors as standard, with optional preps available for other thicknesses. The lock case measures 4-7/16 x 3-5/8 x 1 inches and the backset is 2-3/4 inches, so the door needs a mortise pocket cut to the standard L Series template.
