They are made to suite with other Allegion products to present a quality, complete door hardware solution and provide a consistent user experience throughout your building or complex. Better yet, you can suite the PT Series with PM Series mortise locks, as they share lever and rose styles.

PT40 - Bath/Bedroom Privacy Lock

• Lever with emergency release privacy-pin access in rose outside; lever with push button in rose inside; springlatch
• In unlocked state latch is retracted by either lever
• Outside lever is made inoperative by pushing button on inside rose
• Rotating inside lever retracts latch and releases button unlocking outside lever; closing door also unlocks preventing lock-out
• Emergency unlock: an allen key (provided) is inserted or pushed through outside rose access hole and releases
• button to unlock outside lever
• Inside lever always free for immediate egress

• Material Zinc and steel
• Door thickness Standard: 1-3⁄8" (35 mm) to 1-3⁄4" (44 mm) Optional: 1-3⁄4" (44 mm) to 2" (51 mm)
• Spring cage is self-adjustable for accommodating door ranges
• Backset PT10: Adjustable latch comes standard, fits 2-3/8" (60 mm) to 2-3/4" (70 mm) backsets
• PT40: Non-adjustable latch provided fits 2-3/4" (70 mm) standard or 2-3/8" (60 mm) optional
• Door prep C and D large roses fit 2-1/8" (54 mm) bore and ANSI/SDI A250.14 door prep. A small rose fits 1-7/8" (48") cross bore prep

Latches, Armors, Strikes

• Latch bolt Stainless steel latchbolt with 1/2" (13 mm) throw. Privacy latch restoring to prevent accidental lock outs.
• Standard: 1-1/8" x 2-1/4" (29 mm x 57 mm) with square corner faceplate
• Optional: 1" x 2-1⁄4"(25 mm x 57 mm) with square corner faceplate
• Strike Standard: Square Corner T-Strike with dust box 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" (29 mm x 70 mm) with 1-1/8" (29 mm) lip length
• Optional: Round Corner T-Strike with dust box 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" (29 mm x 70 mm) and Square or Round Corner Full Lip
• Strike 1-5/8" x 2-1/4" (41 mm x 57 mm). 1-1/2" (38 mm) extended lip options available.
