MTK-32/62 Metal Marking Template
Magnetic, metal marking template that streamlines installation for the M32 and M62 electromagnetic locks.
With the MTK-32/62 Metal Marking Template, installing Securitron M32 and M62 Durable Magnalocks is now simpler than before. The heavy paper templates are no longer necessary because this marking template affixes to the door frame with its robust magnetic backing. For simplicity and ease of use, instructions are printed directly on the marking template (one side for the M32, one for the M62). This way, the installer may mark the door frame using the indicated holes, take off the template, and drill with confidence.

Securitron MTK-32-62 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Securitron MTK-32/62 marking template used for?
The MTK-32/62 is a magnetic metal marking template for laying out the mounting holes of Securitron M32 and M62 Magnalock electromagnetic locks. It sticks to the door frame on its magnetic backing, you mark through the indicated holes, pull it off, and drill. It is an install layout tool, not a lock or a bracket, so it does not ship as part of the lock itself.
2) Will the MTK-32/62 template work for Securitron maglocks other than the M32 and M62?
No. The MTK-32/62 carries hole patterns for two locks only, the M32 and the M62, one pattern printed on each side. For any other Securitron Magnalock model the hole layout is different and this template will not give you the right marks.
3) Do I still need the paper template that comes with the M32 or M62 maglock?
No. The metal marking template replaces the heavy paper templates for the M32 and M62 install. The instructions are printed on the template itself, so the layout information travels with the tool rather than with a sheet that tears or shifts on the frame.
4) Is the MTK-32/62 a one-time-use template or can an installer reuse it across a building?
It's a metal template with a magnetic back, so it is reusable. For a property manager or integrator standardizing on M32 or M62 maglocks across a run of openings, one template covers every door in the job instead of a fresh paper sheet per frame.
5) Does the MTK-32/62 come with mounting hardware for the maglock?
No. It's a marking template only, a Securitron installation accessory for the M32 and M62. Mounting hardware, brackets, and the lock itself are ordered separately.
6) How does the MTK-32/62 hold to the frame while I mark the holes?
Magnetically. The template's magnetic backing grips the door frame, which frees both hands for marking and keeps the pattern from creeping while you work. That also means it wants a ferrous frame, hollow metal being the usual case for a maglock install.
