1) What trade sizes does the Steel City LT liquid tight connector come in?
Ten trade sizes, 3/8 inch through 3-1/2 inch: LT 200 (3/8"), LT 201 (1/2"), LT 202 (3/4"), LT 203 (1"), LT 204 (1-1/4"), LT 205 (1-1/2"), LT 206 (2"), LT 207 (2-1/2"), LT 208 (3") and LT 209 (3-1/2"). Match the connector trade size to the trade size of the liquidtight flexible metal conduit, not to the OD of the cable inside it.
2) Will the Steel City LT connector work on liquidtight flexible metal conduit (Sealtite)?
That is exactly what it is built for: liquidtight flexible metal conduit, the jacketed steel-core flex commonly called Sealtite or LFMC. It is not a fitting for cable, EMT, or non-metallic flex.
3) What is the LT connector body made of, and is zinc die cast OK for outdoor or wet locations?
The body is zinc die cast. Zinc die cast with a sealing gland is the standard material for liquidtight connectors used in damp and wet locations and in wash-down or outdoor equipment connections. For corrosive chemical exposure or coastal salt spray, many specs call for a nylon or stainless fitting instead.
4) Do I need to order a separate locknut and sealing ring with the LT connector?
Liquidtight connectors of this type ship as an assembly: body with the sealing gland and gland nut for the conduit end, plus the locknut for the enclosure end. What is not included is the sealing washer or O-ring some outdoor and NEMA-rated enclosures require on the outside of the knockout to keep the box rating, so add that separately when the enclosure spec calls for it.
5) What knockout size do I drill for a 1-1/4 inch LT 204 connector?
Use the standard knockout for the matching trade size. A 1-1/4 inch connector like the LT 204 goes into a 1-1/4 inch knockout, a 1/2 inch LT 201 into a 1/2 inch knockout, and so on through the 3-1/2 inch LT 209. Trade size on the fitting and the knockout are the same number.
6) Are these liquid tight connectors sold individually or in a box?
