Yes. The Steel City XC 87 squeeze connector is built for AC/flex and for DC (BX) cable, so one fitting covers armored cable and flexible metal conduit terminations into a box or enclosure.
3) Is the throat on this Steel City squeeze connector insulated, or do I still need a plastic anti-short bushing?
The fitting itself is the insulated version, so the throat is insulated where the conductors pass through. That protects the wire jacket at the point of entry. It does not change the separate practice of using an anti-short bushing inside the armor on AC cable where the cable type calls for it.

A squeeze connector of this style mounts through the knockout and is secured with a locknut on the inside of the box, then the clamp screws tighten onto the cable. 6) What is the difference between a squeeze connector and a screw-in (duplex) AC connector?
A squeeze connector clamps the armor with a saddle and screws, which grips a range of cable within the trade size and works for both flex conduit and armored cable. A screw-in connector threads into the spiral of AC cable and is quicker but is specific to that cable. The XC 87 squeeze style is the one to use when you are terminating flexible metal conduit as well as BX.
