Mustee T6030LBN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which end is the drain on the Mustee T6030LBN Topaz bathtub?
Drain sits on the left. Standing at the tub facing the opening, a left-hand tub like the T6030LBN has the drain and waste end on your left, so it has to match how the rough-in waste is stubbed in the floor. If your existing waste comes up on the right, you want the right-hand version of the Topaz instead, not this one.
2) What color is Mustee Bone, and will it match my existing bone fixtures?
Bone is the off-white tone Mustee runs across its Topaz line, not bright white. If the toilet and lav in the bathroom are a manufacturer's white, the tub will read noticeably warmer beside them. For a fleet of units where the other fixtures are already bone, the T6030LBN keeps them consistent; if you are mixing, order white instead.
3) Is the Mustee Topaz tub fiberglass or acrylic, and does that matter for a rental turn?
Fiberglass. The Topaz T6030LBN is a fiberglass bathtub, which means it is light enough for one person to carry up a stairwell and set solo, and it cuts and drills for the waste without special tooling. That is why it turns up in multi-family replacement work where an enameled steel or cast tub would need a crew.
4) Does the Mustee T6030LBN bathtub come with a drain, waste and overflow, or trim?
The T6030LBN is sold as the tub only. Waste and overflow, the trip lever or lift-and-turn stopper, the tub filler spout and the valve are all separate line items, so budget them into the same order. Size the waste and overflow for a left-end drain.
5) What is the manufacturer part number for the Mustee bone left hand 30x60 Topaz tub?
Order it as Mustee T6030LBN. Reading the code: 6030 is the 60 x 30 inch size, L is the left-hand drain, and BN is the bone color. The right-hand and white variants carry different suffixes, so quote the full number to avoid getting a tub whose drain lands on the wrong end.
6) Is the Topaz T6030LBN a soaking tub or a whirlpool?
Soaking tub, no jets and no pump. There is no electrical requirement and nothing to service behind an access panel, which is the reason it gets specified for apartment and hotel bathrooms over a jetted unit.
