TOTO THU4030 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THU4030 part?
THU4030 is a TOTO faucet repair part, an aerator assembly for the Nexus DB faucet line. It is a replacement component you order by TOTO part number, not a complete faucet or a valve cartridge.
2) My TOTO faucet has a weak or spraying stream. Is the THU4030 aerator the right fix?
If the faucet is a TOTO Nexus DB and the flow is erratic, sputtering, or off-center while the valve still shuts off cleanly, the aerator is the usual culprit and THU4030 is the TOTO replacement aerator assembly for that line. If the faucet drips when closed or the handle feels gritty, that is a valve or cartridge issue instead and this part will not correct it.
3) How do I order the right TOTO Nexus aerator for a property with several bathrooms?
Order by TOTO part number. This aerator assembly is sold as THU4030, a single configuration with no finish or size choices to specify, so a multi-unit order is just the quantity you need of that one number. Confirm the faucets are Nexus DB models first so you are not mixing lines across the building.
4) Do I need to shut off the water or pull the faucet to replace a TOTO aerator?
No. An aerator threads into the tip of the spout and comes out with an aerator key or by hand, so the faucet stays in the deck and the supply stops stay open. THU4030 is the complete aerator assembly, so you swap the whole unit rather than trying to clean and reuse a screen.
