4) Which door pull looks like a substitute for the Trimco 1193 but is not?

An offset pull angles the grip away from the door face and gives more knuckle room, which matters on heavy doors people haul open. If that is your situation, look at the ABH AB3310 offset flat end, the ABH AB3330 offset round end, the Ives 8145EZHD 45 degree offset (ADA compliant) or the Ives 8169 C style offset at 1 inch diameter.
10) Is the Trimco 1193 pull heavy enough for a high-traffic school or apartment entrance?

The 1193 is rated heavy duty and commercial, in stainless steel, bronze or brass rather than a plated zinc or cast decorative material, which is why it is specified on schools, commercial and industrial buildings, retail and multifamily openings.
