1) Will the Trimco 1263 floor stop hold a door open, or does it just stop it?
Both. The 1263 is a floor stop and holder, so it stops the door's swing and holds it in the open position when you engage the holder. If all you need is a bumper to protect the wall and you don't want the door parking open, a plain floor stop without the holder arm is the simpler buy.
2) What screws come with the Trimco 1263 floor stop, and will they work in a concrete floor?
Wood and machine screws ship with it. Those cover a wood subfloor and a tapped metal base. Concrete is the one you have to plan for: you will need to drill and set anchors sized to the machine screws, since no masonry anchors are in the box.

A standard 1263 floor stop won't work on that opening because there is no usable floor under the swing.
4) What ANSI/BHMA number does the Trimco 1263 floor stop carry?
L01301. That is the BHMA function designation for this stop and holder, which is the number an architect or spec writer puts on a door hardware schedule. If your submittal calls out L01301, the 1263 answers it directly.
5) Is the Trimco 1263 heavy enough for a school or a public building entrance?
It is a commercial-grade stop, and the 1260 Series is called out for schools, public buildings and facilities, commercial and industrial buildings, government and military facilities, and retail. That is the traffic level it is built around, not a residential bedroom door.
6) Can I get the Trimco 1263 floor stop in black or oil rubbed bronze to match my other door hardware?
Seven finishes: 605 bright brass, 606 satin brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze, 613E dark oxidized satin bronze, 622 matte black, 625 bright chrome, and 626 satin chrome. If you are standardizing a building, 626 satin chrome and 613 oil rubbed bronze are the two that most commonly match existing lever and closer finishes. Finish is the only thing you specify on the 1263, so pick the number that matches the rest of the opening and order.
7) Should I use a floor stop like the Trimco 1263 or a wall stop on my opening?
It depends on what is behind the door at full swing. A wall stop needs solid blocking in the wall at the right height and a door that actually reaches the wall. When the door swings into open space, past the end of a wall, or into a corridor, there is nothing to mount a wall stop to and a floor stop is the answer.
